Vehicle Engineer at EuroMaint in Nässjö
Do you have a strong technical interest in heavy vehicles and the technology behind them? Do you have experience in practical troubleshooting of vehicles? Would you like to combine engineering work in the office with practical support in production? Then you might be the one we are looking for!
About the role
As a vehicle engineer at EuroMaint in Nässjö, you will become a technical specialist for the Krösaproject and the vehicles involved. The role is broad; you will be a key person working both hands-on with troubleshooting and technical support on the floor, while also driving improvement work and technical projects from the office. This is a role where it takes time to learn all the tasks, which is why we are looking for someone who is driven, curious, and genuinely interested in technology.
Examples of tasks:
- In this role, you will closely collaborate with production and technicians to promote good quality and efficiency.
- You will act as a technical advisor in customer meetings and be an important intermediary between CAF, the customer, and internal teams.
- You will actively work on analyzing systematic errors and other cost-driving issues while providing technical support to production staff during complex troubleshooting.
- You will also be involved in testing various software for the vehicles, reviewing and implementing hardware and software modifications in consultation with subcontractors, and developing technical documentation, checklists, and instructions.
- You will follow up on the status of the vehicles during the contract period based on both internal and customer-related key performance indicators, and be responsible for driving improvement activities related to the technical log.
- Additionally, you will contribute technical input to bidding groups, review new concepts and vehicles, and manage master data in the business system.
Your profile
You are communicative, analytical, and have a knack for taking initiative. You have an electrical background with experience in troubleshooting and installations in vehicles, and you can think theoretically and act practically in an environment that requires precision.
We would like you to have:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent and 2–5 years of experience with heavy vehicles (rail, aviation, ships, trucks)
- Experience with business systems and good system proficiency, particularly with the Outlook suite
- The ability to read and interpret technical documentation, electrical diagrams, and drawings
- A talent for finding solutions to complex problems
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Spanish is an advantage
Benefits & offers
We offer:
- A generous wellness allowance of 4,000 SEK per year
- Reimbursement for medical expenses and prescription medications up to the high-cost protection
- Professional development and internal training
Location & scope
Location: Nässjö
Scope: Full-time
Working hours: Daytime
Form: Permanent employment with a 6-month probationary period
As part of our recruitment process, we conduct personality tests (OPTO) and cognitive tests (CORE). We also perform background checks and ID verification on final candidates. The application deadline is January 18 - but do not wait to apply as we are recruiting continuously.
